Author Guidelines

Submissions should be sent to the Editorial Secretariat to the following the e-mail address: rampas.rampas@uca.es. All papers will be peer-reviewed by two members from the Scientific Advisory Board and/or by external assessors. Only accepted submissions will be published in Revista Atlántica de Prehistoria y Arqueología Social.
Authors are recquired to assume liability for the opinions in their papers.
Any reproduction, in part or whole, of the content and/or figures is not allowed.
Authors will be notified when the online journal is available.
Documents format: Papers should be sent as a Word document and the file should be A4 format with the margins as follows: top (2,5 cm), bottom (2,5 cm), left (2 cm), right (2 cm), header (1,27 cm) and footer (1,27 cm). Text should be 11-point Cambria font with single-spaced format.
The STRUCTURE should be as follows:
• In the first page: in capital letters the article's title in bold, a blank space and the article's title in English (also in bold and capital letters).
• Following the title in English, another blank space, name (in lower case) and surnames (in capital letters).
• Another blank space and author's details (workplace, address, e-mail address and ORCID).
• Another blank space and abstrat and keywords (in the original language and in English). After these, the summary using Arabic numbers.
• Footnotes are not allowed. Further details should be mentioned within the text.
• Figures such as graphics, maps, tables and images should be named "Figura" and need to be mentioned within the text as "Figura 1", "Figura 2", "Figura 3", etc. They should be submitted individually as JPG or TIFF format with a resolution of, at least, 300 dpi. Figure captions should be as a list in another document; please, do not embed figures in the text.
• References in the text should be included with the Harvard system. Single authors should be listed as (Nocete, 1986), whereas three or more authors should be (Arteaga et al., 1986).
Full references in the BIBLIOGRAPHY should be listed as the last chapter of the paper, right after acknowledgements (if included). Authors are to ensure that only references cited in the article are included in the bibliography. For guidance, please follow the examples below:

SURNAME, Name. Year: Title in italics. Publisher. Place of publication.
Example:

More than one author: SURNAME, Name; SURNAME, Name; SURNAME, Name, etc. (with semicolon in between them).

If they are editors, please include (ed./eds.) after their names.
BOOK CHAPTER:
SURNAME, Name. Year: “The chapter's title enclosed in quotation marks”. En FIRST LETTER OF EDITOR'S NAME AND SURNAME (ed./eds.): Title of the book in italics, number of pages with the pp. abbreviation. Publisher. Place of publication.

Book reviews will also respect the "Documents format" for papers listed previously. Author's name in bold will go in the first place. Following a blank space, the author's personal information: workplace, address and e-mail address. Following another blank space, in bold the reviewed book's information: author/authors, year: Title in italics. Publisher. Place of publication. Number of pages. ISBN number. A blank space will separate these details and the review. Footnotes are allowed. Bibliography, if necessary, will be placed in the footnotes and respect the guidelines previously explained. The book's cover should be submitted individually with high resolution as JPG or TIFF file.
Reports will begin with the author's name and surnames. Following a blank space, the event's details in bold: type of event (conference, seminar, workshop, etc.), Title in italics, organizer, place and date. Another blank space will be added after this information. Next, the author's name. Footnotes and bibliography should respect the guidelines previously explained.
Articles sent to be published in the News section will begin with the title and the author's name and surnames in bold. Following a blank space, the author's personal details.
All original manuscripts will be published in RAMPAS' Open Journal System website (https://revistas.uca.es/index.php/rampas). Authors will be sent an e-mail with corrections by the Editorial Secretariat in order to amend them as soon as possible. The Editorial Secretariat can decide wether to exclude submissions if deadlines are not respected.
