Análisis de las dimensiones de la gestión educativa que realiza la Dirección de Gestión, Investigación y Educación Ambiental de Chiapas para promover la cultura ambiental

Abstract

The Directorate of Management, Research and Environmental Education (DGIEA) in Chiapas promotes environmental culture through non-formal education. This article seeks to analyze the management dimensions of the non-formal education processes it implements, with emphasis on the institutional, administrative, pedagogical and community levels. Each dimension of educational management was analyzed to identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). For example, the pedagogical processes and the use of environmental conservation areas as course sites were identified as strengths, but they face challenges such as the lack of a specific educational model to guide the design of training activities. Environmental education faces weaknesses such as the lack of outreach outside the metropolitan area, but it can be strengthened with the collaboration of environmental promoters and the implementation of innovative resources such as distance education. Undoubtedly, environmental education is crucial to address problems such as pollution and deforestation in Chiapas.
