Abstract
This article discusses the issues related to the teaching of Standard Arabic idioms in the French schools in Morocco. In this context, the different taxonomies that have been developed in this field will be studied to know what type of idioms should be brought to the classroom, with all the advantages that this entails. Then, we will see how to select and present them before memorizing and reusing them. Next, some locutional errors will be analyzed, taking into account the particular features of these multilexical units and the difficulties that delay their learning. Hence, we will need to examine this issue from a pragmatic perspective, based on the theories of the teaching of second languages. This procedure will allow us to know how to learn them in a practical and contextualized way in line with the functional, grammatical and cultural aspects. This is achieved through identification, understanding, memorization and reuse activities.
