A Macama from Jerez? Jerez and the spread of the "Macamas" al-Ḥarīrī in al-Andalus

Abstract
The present work gives a brief overview of the transmission of the Maqāmāt al-Ḥarīrī in Jeréz, whose scholars wrote some commentaries on that book, above all the famous al-Šarīšī’s Šarḥ Maqāmāt al-Ḥarīrī. From this volume I have translated a short story about Jeréz which could be named maqāma šarīšiyya.
