Abstract

The author describes in this article a brief view of the theatre concerning The Courts of Cádiz inside the general context of the Spanish Revolution. This article focuses on the perspective of the dramatic text during the first third of the 19th century. (1808- 1833), from the cultured creations of Martínez de la Rosa to authors like Gaspar Zavala and Zamora, Juan Poveda, Diego González Robles and Francisco de Paula Martí; which image persisted with respect to the written theatre during the Spanish Revolution and what was new in the literature about The Courts of Cádiz written later between 1814 and 1833.
