Abstract
From the reading of diverse texts, the Majorican magazine La Antorcha among them, it can be fixed precisely the exact date when they were published, this is something that had not been done previously. So, due to other journalistic sources, we first get to know the name of the author of this project: the liberal lawyer Joaquín Pérez de Arrieta, and how his name had been hidden for a long time by his political opponents for mysterious reasons that we do not know, until finally, some months later, they ended up revealing it. In this context, we take advantage of the opportunity to match up this man of the Majorican reformative faction with other papers of the same ideology, that were brought to light in the Balearic capital during the final years of the war against the French.
