Abstract

This article studies an engraving that, for spreading the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, entrusted the Marquis of Valde-Iñigo to engraver José Rico. It aims to analyze the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, its implantation in Cádiz in the eighteenth century, in Oratorio de San Felipe Neri and Santa Cueva, with special attention to the engraving and his engraver, providing unpublished data from his biography.

Estudiante de Historia del Arte en la UNED, mi línea de investigación se ha dirigido principalmente hacia estudios del patrimonio histórico y artístico de la ciudad de Cádiz. Tengo publicado un artículo en la revista Trocadero, de la Universidad de Cádiz, titulado "La devoción a las ánimas del purgatorio en Cádiz: dos hermandades para su estudio"
