Special duals in Arabic: Dual of prevalence, al-muṯannà ˁalà t-taġlīb, and dual par excellence

Abstract
This paper deals with two types of special dual, the class that gives precedence to one of two different names for the dual of both called al-muṯannà ˁalà t-taġlīb and another that uses an adjective applied to two singular names. The analyzed corpus that contains both types is the third section of chapter thirty of Ad-durra al-fāxira fī-l-ˀamṯāl as-sā’ira.
