Abstract

This paper aims to present a first description of 18th Century High-Peruvian Spanish lexicon, focusing on so-called americanismos (typical words of Latin-American Spanish). The research not only analyses a group of interesting words for the History of Bolivian Spanish, but also offers a general conclusion: it suggests that some processes of dialectalization have already happened for this moment, not only in the case of indigenous terms, but also in the case of the other types of americanismos.
