Resumen

El presente artículo de investigación es una estudio de la relación entre Tecnología y Enseñanza de Lenguas, con una atención especial a la Enseñanza de Lenguas Asistida por Ordenador (ELAO). En primer lugar, se realiza un recorrido cronológico desde los orígenes de la Enseñanza de Lenguas Asistida por Ordenador, y se analiza su evolución hasta el momento actual, haciendo una revisión detallada del estado del arte. A continuación se estudian diversos temas de actualidad como el aprendizaje móvil, el Open Courseware, los Cursos Masivos Abiertos en línea (MOOC), los Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje, la gamificación, el uso de redes sociales y el Aprendizaje Combinado (Blended Learning). Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre el papel de la ELAO en la enseñanza actual, aportando una visión sostenible sobre la contribución de la disciplina al nuevo rol del docente de lenguas en la educación del siglo veinte.
