an approach to conversational routines

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of one of the most controversial phraseological phenomena, conversational routines. Despite the advances in the characterization of these units in the last fifty years, there are still a great variety of criteria complicating their study. Thus, it is necessary to establish the main features of phraseological units as well as the field to which they belong. I propose some caracteristics in order to delimit the concept under consideration and also to differentiate it from other phraseological units.
