Discursive behavior deictics-spatial categories in oral samples from the city of Santiago de Cuba

Abstract

Because of most of the researches on the structure of language and its use has not addressed how languages structure the space and how the speakers use expressions of this nature, there is, generally, a lack of specific studies about the subject in the Spanish language. In the present study the discursive behavior of spatial deixies in oral samples from the city of Santiago de Cuba to determine their employment in correspondence with the information it provides in each usage situation; investigates therefore the mechanism that serves to link the sentences with the communicative situation in which they are
issued. The results achieved will be taken into consideration for contrast with other research and contribute to the enrichment of oral modality studies related to this topic, which at present are scarce.
