Discursive construction of (trans)national vs. party politics in three European Affairs Parliamentary Committees: a critical discourse analysis approach

Résumé
Cet article analyse et compare la construction discursive et idéologique des identités dans les commissions européennes des parlements du Royaume-Uni, de France et d’Espagne. Les sessions mises au point traitent du projet de traité constitutionnel européen, une question liée à la construction européenne. Suite à l’Analyse Critique du Discours, j’ai effectué une analyse qualitative, qui s’appuie sur les concepts de ‘légitimation’ vs ‘délégitimation’, ‘présentation positive de soi’ vs ‘présentation négative de l’autre’, ‘consensus’ vs. ‘polarisation’, et les notions pragmatiques de ‘présupposition’ et ‘d’implicature’. L’analyse a révélé que les sessions se concentrent sur les identités régionales, nationales ou partisanes, plutôt que sur une véritable identité européenne. Alors que les interventions des députés Britanniques et Français tentent de favoriser une identité nationale dans le cadre d’une construction européenne et recherchent l’intérêt national, la plupart des interventions des porte-parole espagnols sont consacrées, assez curieusement, à la création d’une simple identité de parti.
