Abstract
This article aims at presenting, for first time, a translation into an European language, Spanish, of Maqṣūrat al-jawhara ‘the Pearl’ of Abū Madyan. It is a poetic work consisting of 120 verses, dedicated to the pious exhortation. The text focuses primarily on religion, based on the Koran and the tradition of the Prophet, for attendees building. The translation is accompanied by a concise historic and literary commentary. Its main purpose is providing readers with a general overview of preaching, applied in al-Andalus and the Maghreb. Likewise, the present state of studies that the Maqṣūra has originated.
