Abstract
The overcoming of the corral de comedias and the imposition of the theatrical paradigm all’taliana assumes, in Spain, a process that runs parallel to many other Enlightened discussions on the renewal of the performing arts. This article will deal with this architectural behavior, involving many influences of international theory and practice mixed with remnants of the inveterate indigenous uses, affecting both the theatrical space in all its aspects as to the nature of the scenic illusion, the stage-audience relationship or the fruitive behavior of audiences.
