The inquisitor Rodríguez Laso and the decline of the Valentian Inquisition (1814-1820)
Abstract
In this essay, we study the last six years of the life of the Inquisition Court in Valencia (1814-1820) through the personality of its dean inquisitor, the Graduate Nicolás Rodríguez Laso. Analysing the penuries of all kinds in one of the most important provincial courts, we draw the decline of all the Spanish Inquisition.
