Anti-plagiarism policy

Manuscripts submitted to Cuadernos de Ilustración y Romanticismo must be original and unpublished papers and not under review in other journals. The TURNITIN software will be used to detect possible plagiarism and/or self plagiarism.

A similarity index of up to 20%  is deemed acceptable —25% when the similarity is established against previous works by the author of the manuscript—, excluding bibliography and cited primary and secondary sources, as well as appendices and other coincidences that might raise the similarity index for reasons other than plagiarism.

In the case of studies that involve an update and extension of previous research, this circumstance must be pointed out and the editor in charge of the evaluation process will be responsible for determining whether the publication is reiterative with respect to previous works. This in no way excludes the evaluation by double blind peers of the texts in those sections that require it.
