Abstract
Scientific magazines are relevant popularization means and also must be analysis objects. The aim of the research here related was drawing a scientometric profile of Revista Eureka sobre Enseñanza y Divulgación de las Ciencias – Eureka Magazine about Education and Popularization of Sciences (REurEDC). The research had quantitative predominance, founded in scientometric base. 380 articles, published between 2004 and 2013 (the ten first volumes) were analyzed. Statistic and information softwares supported the collection and the analytical treatment of data. The set of indicators studied, included the time to evaluate the papers submitted, as well as the amount and technical set of authors, references, extracted contents of the keywords, and general data. The scientometric profile shows a growing trend geographically and more often over time. The data confirm that REurEDC is well established among Latin-American main journals in the field of Science Education. Keywords
