Abstract
Poesía para vencer a la muerte, by Dr. Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga (Madrid: Pygmalion), was published in 2023 (1st ed.) and 2024 (2nd ed.). It is an anthology containing more than one hundred poems written in sixteen languages, mainly in Spanish. The work responds to a clear exercise in reading mediation and has a high educational and pedagogical value, due to the literary analysis and reflections offered by the author on overcoming the mourning caused by death, through words and poetry. It also fulfils a clearly social and liberating function: through the poets' expression of suffering, it helps people who are going through a similar experience to cope with grief when a close person dies.
