Abstract

The spectacular effects (light, colour, sound and smoke) produced by pyrotechnic articles are based on the science of the fire, for this reason fireworks are an attractive didactic resource useful to increase: the interest, imagination and admiration of students towards chemistry, as well as the scientific knowledge of citizens in scientific popularizing events.
