Abstract
A partir del cuestionamiento de la función de la enseñanza de las ciencias derivada de una postura filosófica específica se presenta una definición y una tipología de los modelos para su uso en la enseñanza de las ciencias a través del modelaje.

Science's education models' typology
From the discussion of the function of science education derived from a philosophical specific position here a definition and a typology of models and modelling for its use in science education is introduced.
