Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The proposal must be in Microsoft Word format using the appropriate template
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • As for the length, the articles must have between 4000 and 8000 words, including bibliographical references ((In some cases, 9000 may be admitted if justified) and reviews, 1000 words.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • If the research involves human subjects, the document in the guidelines must be uploaded to the platform together with the article.

Author Guidelines

Use the Register link at the top of the magazine's home page. As a result of the registration, the reader will receive by e-mail the Table of Contents of each issue of the journal. This list also allows the journal to be attributed a certain level of support or number of readers. Please refer to the journal's Privacy Statement, which assures readers that their names and email addresses will not be used for other purposes.

When submitting papers, care must be taken to adhere to the style and standards set by the journal:

  1. Publish articles that must deal with subjects related to education, communication, social issues, the media or ICTs applied to education and that are fundamentally about projects, research, reflections, proposals or experiences.
  2. Papers should be unpublished, originals, and written in Spanish, English or Portuguese. Articles in Italian and French may be accepted as long as the Editorial Team deems it appropriate.
  3. It is mandatory when including the authors in the platform that their names, surnames, institutions, place, ORCID and a small bio-data are included.
  4. In the case of articles, these should be between 4000 to 8000 words (In some cases, 9000 may be admitted if justified), the abstract between 150-200 words (Inglês, Espanhol e Português) and finally, 3 to 5 key words (Inglês, Espanhol e Português-UNESCO Thesaurus). The template should be followed.
  5. For the reviews, these should be 1000 words and should indicate the data of the book (author, publisher,year) and a picture of the cover on the right (this should be attached in a different document on the platform). The following template should be used.
  6. Articles and reviews should be submitted in word (.docx) and not in other formats.
  7. if the research involves human subjects, the following document must be uploaded to the platform together with the article
  8. From issue 23 (2021) onwards, authors should indicate the following information in the article itself:
    • Authors' contribution: in articles where there is more than one author, the contribution of each author to the preparation of the article should be specified, using the following terms: A (first author): conceptualization, B(second author):data processing, B (second author):formal analysis, C (third author):acquisition of funds, research...These terms can be consulted the system adopted by CRedit. To maintain the anonymity of the authors, A should be indicated for the first author, B for the second author, and so on.
    • Funding: if the article has not received any funding, the following should be indicated: "This research did not receive any external funding". On the other hand, if it did, it should be specified "This research was financed by XXXX, whose project reference number is XXXXX".
    • Acknowledgements: a short acknowledgements can be included.

The author(s) must comply with the rules established by the journal in order to pass peer review. Otherwise, it will be rejected.

An author who has published an article in the journal must wait one year before submitting another article.

Monographs

In case you want to present a monograph, a proposal must send through the mail revista.http@uca.es. The title, justification, objectives and theme must be indicated. This will be evaluated by the journal's editorial team.
