Analysis of the thematic structure of a type of economic language text.

Abstract
Thís thematic analysis of a stock survey is based on the studies of languages for special purposes and makes use of the methodology of text linguistícs. Within thís ficld of studies, the thematic analysis adopts an intratextual perspectíve and concentrates on the analysis of the thematic organízation and strueturatíon of a text, both fundamental aspects conceming !he description of a text type. The notion of topic is explored through the use of methodologies to identii')" the main topics of a text and the application of principies to determine the logical and semantic relations betwcen these topics. In ordcr to cffectuate a thorough analysis of this extensive text type, critera for the delimitation of !hematíe paragraphs have been defined.
