Coreference, cohesion and updating in the narration of spanish-speaking hy`poacustic children with cochlear implant

Abstract
Throughout our study we analyze textual aspects within the narrative elicited in the population of hearing impaired children with cochlear implants. For this, we have two population groups: a control group, without auditory deficits, and another group of children with hearing impaired implants in which we have analyzed the presence of co-referential, cohesive, and updating elements. After the transcription of the samples and their analysis, we can affirm that the language of the implanted hypoacoustic children is characterized by a lower presence of co-referential elements, a smaller variety of cohesive elements, as well as a less discursive updating.
