Abstract
This short paper provides some additional evidences in addition to those which were presented in Cuadernos de Ilustración y Romanticismo, no. 19 (2013), about the authorship of Vargas, a tale of Spain, a novel written by the English author Alexander Dallas, but usually attributed to Joseph Blanco White. The original manuscript of Vargas has been located in the National Library of Madrid. Besides, an unpublished text by Vicente Llorens is edited here, containing his arguments for sustaining that the book was not written by Blanco White.
