Abstract

These pages introduce, from an editorial perspective, the 13th RESED monograph, which aims to address the following question: How can we simultaneously integrate social equity and environmental sustainability into development? And what is the relationship between Latin America and Europe in this challenge? Europe and Latin America share these challenges, despite their geographical and cultural diversity. The need to reflect, diagnose, and act in this area absolutely justifies a monograph such as this one. Under the title "Towards Equitable and Sustainable Development. Perspectives between Europe and Latin America," Juan Carlos Solano Lucas brings together a collection of scientific studies and essays that analyze the topic from different sociological perspectives.
