Zombies as a contemporary cultural theme: Evolution, characteristics and educational explorations through the radio
Abstract
Video games, novels, comics, television series... and especially movies which is the resource from where its representation and meaning has developed throughout history. In this article we make a tour of the background needed to understand where these monsters come from, their main features and their evolution on the cinema from 1932 to the present. Likewise, a review is made of the main metaphors and social readings associated with these beings and we reflect if we can learn something about them. Ultimately a radio experience about the zombie movies is presented, we intend to approach formatively the living dead and their most relevant films over time that have become today a whole counterculture icon.
