Abstract

When approaching critical analysis, it is appropriate to ask: What is the current role of scientific research in the social sciences, and what is the role of critical scientific research in the social sciences? This is a particularly relevant question when discussing approaches to be used in the social sciences. What characterizes these approaches? Are critical sociology and social criticism different or similar?
