Abstract

An inquiry sequence on the Sun-Earth astronomic system is described. The sequence starts from several contextual references (objects, words, spaces) that are manipulated and interpreted by the students. Through the didactic sequence, students learn to research and communicate science using several scaffolding strategies (language, analysis, structure), and relate the scientific models of rotation and traslation with observable phenomena in a real context

Jordi Domènech Casal, Grupo LIEC, Departamento de Didáctica de la Matemática y las Ciencias Experimentales, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Doctor en Biología y licenciado en Humanidades. Profesor de secundaria en el INS Vilanova, de Vilanova del Vallès. Formador de profesorado en nuevas tecnologías (moodle, web 2.0, PDI,...) y metodologías didácticas (trabajo colaborativo, indagación, lectura y escritura en ciencias...). Embajador adjunto de la red de profesorado europea Scientix y miembro de los grupos de innovación en la enseñanza de las ciencias LIEC (Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona) y EduWikiLab.
